This body of work came at a time in my life where I moved to a neighborhood of like-minded people. I had never met so many people at once that I could relate to. One of those people was a talented wordsmith named Karen Lacey. We met for lunch one day and spoke about how we could collaborate on a body of creative work. I had also befriend Chandra Valkyrie. Her love for the "strange and unusual", oddities, and creativity in general inspired me. It was the first time I had made art in 3 years.

 

This series was inspired by the realm of mental illness, as well as the biology of the human body. This series led to my body of work, titled Medulla.
