everyone is creative.
My core belief is that everyone is creative. Never doubt your creativity. Get bored, play, don't focus on the end product. It's about the process. If you just let yourself get creative and play, then you will surprise yourself. Doing this is essential to mental health- you will benefit greatly in your everyday life if you take time to play.

Artist inspirations: the work of Jenny Saville. Her work was honest, grotesque and brave. Her brushstrokes are emulated in my paintings until this day. Her color palette is rich, her forms fleshy, and her subjects seem to live in a world of punk culture. Subsequently, I was also inspired by the work of Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, and Egon Schiele.

Artist Statement:
My artwork is an exploration of the intricate tapestry of identity, mental health, and personal mythology. In my paintings, women are depicted in fluorescent colors, adorned with flower crowns, embodying a vivid expression of the complex layers of the human experience. Each figure represents a different mental illness that I experience, such as ADD, autism, anxiety, and depression. Through these depictions, I aim to create a sense of connection and empathy for those who navigate similar paths.
Animals appear as spirit guides in my work, embodying wisdom and guidance as they accompany the women on their journeys. These creatures serve as symbols of strength and resilience, offering support as the figures confront their inner worlds.
A distinctive feature of my paintings is the presence of multiple eyes on the figures, a motif that fascinates me and represents the soul's depth and complexity. These eyes serve as windows into the multifaceted nature of identity, suggesting an enhanced perception and understanding of the self and the world.
My work is deeply influenced by the expressive techniques of Jenny Saville, Egon Schiele, and Lucian Freud. Their ability to convey raw emotion and the complexities of the human form inspires me to delve deeply into my own experiences and emotions. My paintings draw from my personal mythology, reflecting significant life experiences and familial influences.
Grief plays a significant role in my art, shaped by the profound loss of my father, my beloved dog Gonzo, and two cherished professional positions within the art community. These experiences of loss have profoundly impacted my perspective, fueling my desire to capture the ephemeral nature of life and the resilience of the human spirit.
Through my art, I strive to create a space where viewers can engage with the complexity of emotions and identities, finding solace and understanding in the shared human experience.
